Oh, how I loved the inconvenience of not having towels provided in the holiday home. Absolutely delightful.

We recently stayed at a hotel with an really good view over Scrabster harbour, Thurso bay, and Orkney. Waking up to this fine view, regardless of the weather, was very nice. The location was perfect, close to the centre of Thurso and the Northlink Ferry terminal at Scrabster. The hotel itself was well-presented, very clean, and had all the necessary amenities. The beds were comfortable, and the heating worked brilliantly with thermostatic radiator valves in each room. We loved the small entrance area to remove our shoes and coats, keeping the hotel clean. The local shops and nice restaurants in the harbour were within walking distance, making it convenient for supplies and dining options. this was by far the best place we have stayed in the area, and we would definitely return in the future.
